Privacy policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
DigLog is made by SGWNI (sgwni.com). This policy covers the DigLog app and this website. In short: your finds, photos and findspots stay on your devices and in your own iCloud, and nobody else can see them.
Your finds and locations
Everything you record in DigLog (finds, photos, findspots, sessions and equipment, and in DigLog 2.0 also session routes, sites, landowner details and agreements) is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud database. That database belongs to your Apple Account: the developer can't see it, and it isn't sent to any other server. There is no DigLog account.
What the app asks permission for
- Location, to record where you find things and, in DigLog 2.0, the route you walk during a session. It's used only while you log finds or a session is running.
- Camera and photos, to add photos of your finds.
- Face ID (DigLog 2.0), only if you turn on the app lock. iOS checks your face; DigLog never sees biometric data.
- Notifications, for reminders you choose. They're scheduled on your device.
Sharing
DigLog only shares what you choose to share. From DigLog 2.0, shared photos never include their location data, and a find's location is left out unless you choose how precisely to include it.
Anonymous usage statistics
DigLog sends anonymous usage events to TelemetryDeck, such as that a find was added or a session started, so the developer can see which features are used. Events carry an anonymised identifier that can't be traced back to you, and never include your finds, photos, locations, names or any other personal information.
Purchases
Apple handles every payment. DigLog uses RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active: it receives an anonymous app identifier and the purchase information Apple provides, not your name or email address. You manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings.
What DigLog doesn't do
No advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no selling or sharing of data with data brokers.
This website
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without collecting personal information. The free tools run in your browser: grid references, dates and letters you type aren't sent anywhere. If you let the grid reference converter use your location, your browser shares it with that page only, and it stays on your device.
Children
DigLog isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
